Adjusting colour
Printers are just like TV’s each manufacturer chooses how a default picture will be displayed ie contrast, brightness and depth of colour. The TV’s opposite are all Samsung TV’s and yet all the images are slightly different.
A photo printed on one printer may appear to be a different colour or contrast to the same image printed on another printer.
This is down to the way in which each printer driver interprets an image and way the printer driver handles the document, you can adjust the colour balance to suit your requirements by following this procedure or a similar procedure.
Example from an OKI MC860 PCL5e driver
Printed Photo / Image contrast wrong to light / dark
Go to Control Panel
Right Click on the OKI MC860 and left click on Properties
Left click Printer Preferences
The black dot will be on Automatic by default
Select Office Colour and left click on options
You can now adjust the colour brightness and saturation using the two sliders at the bottom of the screen.
This will then apply these settings to all subsequent prints.
