"231: Error xx occurred" is displayed. (C824, C834, C844)
This error occurs when this machine cannot read the information of consumables and maintenance products.
Try the following solutions.
- 231: Error 05 - K toner cartridge / K image drum
- 231: Error 06 - Y toner cartridge / Y image drum
- 231: Error 07 - M toner cartridge / M image drum
- 231: Error 08 - C toner cartridge / C image drum
- 231: Error 23 - Check the contact part between the fuser unit and the belt unit.
"Unknown Consumable detected" (MC853, MC873, MC883)
When "Unknown Consumable detected" appears on the touch panel and the device stops working, if you remove the non-genuine consumables, a log of having used non-genuine consumables will not be recorded in the device.
To continue printing by using non-genuine consumables
When "Unknown Consumable detected" appears on the touch panel and the device stops working, you can follow the procedure below to switch to an operable state.
Note:- Once you switch to an operable state, a log of having used non-genuine consumables will be recorded in the device.
1.Turn off the device.
2.Press and hold the [Clear] button to turn it on.
3.Once "RAM CHECK 100%" appears on the touch panel, release the [Clear] button.
"Unknown Consumable detected" (C532)
When "Unknown Consumable detected" appears on the touch panel and the device stops working, if you remove the non-genuine consumables, a log of having used non-genuine consumables will not be recorded in the device.
To continue printing by using non-genuine consumables
When "Unknown Consumable detected" appears on the touch panel and the device stops working, you can follow the procedure below to switch to an operable state.
Note:- Once you switch to an operable state, a log of having used non-genuine consumables will be recorded in the device.
1.Turn off the device.
2.Press and hold the [Clear] button to turn it on.
3.After start up, release the (CLEAR) button.
